Manila City Mayor Joseph E. Estrada and Filipino-Chinese business community will be leading the celebration of Chinese New Year 2018 in the Binondo district, often referred to as Manila’s Chinatown hosted by Former Rep .Naida Angping.
He will be joined by Zhao Jianhua, Chinese ambassador to the Philippines; Domingo Yap, president of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc.; Antony Chan, president of Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines Inc.; and Andrew Tan, owner of real-estate firm Megaworld.
The Chinese-Filipino community has been supportive of the city government and during their special day, we will ensure that our law-enforcement units and other security and emergency personnel are on full alert to protect them and maintain peace and order.
